Motorola and Verizon have started sending out invites for the unveiling of the Moto Z Droid and the Moto Z Force Droid Edition on July 14 in New York. While Motorola had already unveiled the handset in June at Lenovo’s Tech World.
However, the companies did not provide a clear launch date for the handset and did not reveal its pricing as well. Hopefully, Motorola and Verizon will also be revealing the pricing of Moto Mods. While prices for the Mods have leaked before, the general consensus was that it was pretty high, so here’s hoping that Motorola/Lenovo decided to reduce it. It is also possible that Motorola and Verizon will unveil new Moto Mods at the event that Motorola did not show off at the original launch event of the phone. The Moto Z Force Droid Edition will remain exclusive to Big Red’s network, while an unlocked variant of the Moto Z will be released in September. It is likely that Verizon will start selling the Moto Z and Moto Z Force Droid Editions from late July or early August matching with the summer launch timeframe Motorola had mentioned in its original press release.
