Verizon today became the first carrier in the United States to announce pre-order dates for HTC’s flagship smartphone, the HTC 10,. Though details are still unclear as the the actual release date of the phone, the carrier did announce that it will start accepting pre-orders for the handset from April 29th.
Apart from Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint will also carry the phone, while AT&T on the other hand, has announced it will not be offering the HTC 10. The HTC 10 was unveiled just last week to much fanfare and it has received rave reviews. For those who are wanting to get a hands-on demonstration for the phone, on 29th April, Verizon stores will also start carrying display units of the handset. But amidst all this information, there is still no news about price-plans that will be offered nor the exact release date. For those who are with AT&T, or do not have a plan that is up for a re-contract anytime soon, I will recommend you to purchase the unlocked version of the handset directly from HTC’s website. Using a discount coupon, you are even able to knock-off $100 from the price of the phone thereby effectively bringing it down to $499. Unfortunately though, only the Carbon Grey and Glacier Silver colours are available at this moment. The beautifully crafted HTC has a 5.2 inch QHD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset. You can find more information about the handset here. So are you planning to get the HTC 10 or are you holding out for some other phone? Let us know in the comments.
