Sony today announced that it is bringing its latest flagship — the Xperia Z3+/Z4 — exclusively to Verizon’s network as the Xperia Z4v this summer. The handset looks just like previous Xperia handsets from Sony, but comes with a smaller power button and a microUSB port that is not protected by any flap, despite its IP65/68 rating. As for the specs, the Xperia Z4v will come with a 5.2-inch Triluminous display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 810 chipset under the hood, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 20.7MP 25mm wide-angle rear camera that is capable of reaching ISO levels of up to 12,800 and a 5MP front-facing selfie shooter. Other specs of the handset include a 3,000mAh sealed battery, Qi and PMA wireless charging support, support for Quick Charge 2.0 and front-facing stereo speakers. Some of the software features that will be present in the Xperia Z4v include a Battery Stamina mode, an Ultra Stamina mode, DSEE HX, PS4 Remote Play, an Intelligent Active mode for the camera and more. The Xperia Z4v will be coming to Verizon this summer in black and white color options. The exact pricing and launch date of the handset remain unknown for now.
